Tim Berne and Matt Mitchell are two musicians who need no introduction at this point in their careers. They appear on seven albums together with Berne’s long-running band Snakeoil, have released two prior duo recordings (Angel Dusk and 1), and collaborated on the brilliant førage in 2017, which showcases Mitchell performing hand-picked Berne compositions arranged for solo piano. Their musical connection is deep (that’s an understatement) and it is on full display on their latest effort.
